8th ANNUAL SOLSTICE SWIM

ALEXANDRA HEADLAND BEACH, QUEENSLAND
Presented by the Alexandra Headland Rotary Club and Alexandra Headland Surf Lifesaving Club in support of Sunshine Coast charities.
The 2025 SunnyCoast Solstice Swim at Alex Beach is the "fun and must do" community swim on the Sunshine Coast.
Every year swimmers from all over the coast gather at Alex to swim their preferred swim leg under the watchful eye of the Alex Surf life savers in IRB's and boards.
It is the ONLY swim on the coast where every dollar raised is put back into the local community.
It's the swimming communities way of having fun and showing support for the many volunteer organisations on the coast who do such amazing work in DV, mental health, homelessness, and of the course cost of living. (Last year the swim paid for an Inclusive Kids "Fuel for school program")
There’s a few changes this year. Swimmers will have timing anklets and we’ve introduced a 500m swim for those folks who prefer a shorter distance and want a gentle swim and show support for our community.
And we’re continuing with the popular
- 1km
- 3km
- 5km swim distances.
The amazing Alex Lifesavers will continue to chaperone swimmers and the folks at Mooloolaba Yacht Club are providing the oversize swim buoys as usual.

Registrations are not open yet, but we will be offering early bird registrations soon.
