Previous participants in the Show will remember the amazing mural that International artist and our very own Sunshine Coast resident - Owen Cavanagh made “live” at a previous show at the “Old Caravan Park”.
Owen and his mate painted this during the show and generously donated the sale to our beneficiary that year - Salty Souls Legacy. 
Well Owen has agreed to come along to this years show and has promised a “surprise” for participants - something will be happening on the beach just 50 metres from the oval, where some of you will be staying overnight on Saturday.
What could it be? Well lets just say if you are a regular walker along the beachfront you‘ve had a taste of what Owen can create to brighten your day..
Also joining Owen will be our very own Naomi from Naomi Ocean Art - you will have seen some of Naomi’s creations of beach and ocean life on TV and at various high end corporate and residential venues, and Naomi has promised something special for the show. She’s excited.!!
Joining Naomi is Julie Chizzoni, who apart from creating some amazingly colourful art, does some fantastic Kombi related paintings that you can see at the artists precinct at the show…..

How does the People's choice work?
We've noticed that we have some newbies registering their babies this year so here's an explanation on how the "People's Choice" competition works..
As the regulars know, there will be 2 competitions this year. What’s new is that we are offering a $500 prize to “peoples choice” and $500 to best in show. To help you win the "people’s choice”
Here’s how it works…
Once your registration is in, (either Kombi or Beetle) and you have a lot number, we'll contact you for a photo and a story. This is put on a stand in your site lot so folks can read about your “baby”.
There’s an example below. So it can be technical or just a nice story. Now, if the visitors like your “baby” they will put voting discs in your cup. Each visitor gets 5 discs. They can give you all 5 discs or none.
The site with the most discs win.
How do I win "best in show" you ask? Well that's all down to Brownie. He knows everything about Beetles and Kombi’s. His decision is final. If you’ve got a spare hour or two he’ll tell you what he likes to see in a Kombi or Beetle.

Previous Parade's have been a BLAST, so we're doing it again this year.
In previous years we've had 80 Kombi's in convoy up and down the coast. We think it was the largest Kombi parade ever held on the Sunshine Coast.
We'll be heading off from Mari St Car park around 6pm on Saturday night for an hour cruising around the Sunshine Coast sights.
So the folks at Cricks will chaperone the beautiful Kombi's around Alex Headland, Mooloolaba, Kawana, Maroochydore Cotton Tree and back to Alex Headland to show off these beauties to the rubber necks on the high rises on Saturday night.
Those taking part in parade will meet at Mari St Car park (There's talk of a BBQ before setting off) and the they will be given this map...just to make sure you don't get lost
